Considered the biggest hope on the new American jazz scene, the Chicago drummer Makaya McCraven was crowned by the media for his last album, Universal Beings. An elegant, accomplished double on the trailblazing label International Anthem, in which he invited all the names in this new international jazz to share his search for the absolute beat. Makaya McCraven invites on stage artists who have collaborated with him in the past, including harpist Brandee Younger and trumpeter Marquis Hill.
