Seun Kuti was only nine when he climbed on stage with his father Fela Kuti, the legendary Afrobeat pioneer and leader of Egypt 80. After Fela's premature death from cancer in 1997, the young singer and saxophonist bravely took his place! Faithful to Fela, he perpetuates the spirit of Afrobeat with Egypt 80 – irresistible grooves mixing funk, jazz, soul and African rhythms! The music has an ever-present political background, as shown by his new album, "Black Times".
