Biography
He is the most influential pianist in recent decades. Student of Fred Hersch and Jimmy Cobb, partner of Joshua Redman, Charlie Haden, Pat Metheny and many others, Brad Mehldau is an outstanding pianist that revolutionized the art of the piano and of the trio with his work on the structures and rhythm and his unique reflection on the trio formula of piano-bass-drums.
By offering jazz and improvisation a liberty found only in the rock and pop scene, Brad Mehldau has become a reference for many generations of pianists. He is extremely scarce on the European stages: the Nice Jazz Festival welcomes him with pride.
